Having worked at the consulting practice of a major fortune 500 company for many years, we at TurboUpdates always saw this lack of customer communication technology as a gap in the industry. It felt like we were missing a solution that would give customers an easy way to track the overall status of their projects.
The idea finally came to us when we ordered a Domino’s pizza and saw their online pizza tracker. We thought: Why can’t we give every business the ability to share updates with their customers in an easy, online portal just like Domino’s? Domino’s brought what UPS and Fedex were doing with package tracking to their pizza. We wanted to give every business the same opportunity. That’s how the idea of TurboUpdates came to us.
During our time consulting, we noticed that the customers who received updates most frequently were more satisfied compared to others. We managed a large team of consultants and trained our team members to update their customers at the end of day every Friday, even when there were no new updates concerning the project. As a large consulting practice, we followed NPS (Net Promoter Score), and our team always had the highest percentage of happy customers. That’s why, from TurboUpdates’s inception, we’ve been focused on not just delivering the update but capturing the reaction of the customer.
